Vinyl Siding on Your Minnesota Home

If you work with Greenwood Design Build on your new Minnesota home, you can have almost all vinyl products on the outside of it. On some of our Minnesota projects we are using vinyl windows, vinyl siding, vinyl trim, vinyl shutters, vinyl porch posts, vinyl railing, vinyl vented soffit, vinyl solid soffit and even vinyl bead board soffit. Vinyl siding products can actually look very good and be very difficult for someone to tell from the street that it’s not traditional siding. One of the products that we are using in new Minnesota homes is vinyl bead board soffit for the front porch ceiling.

There are several manufacturers of vinyl bead board soffit material that we can use on your new Minnesota home. The products range from a solid Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC) bead board to some new lightweight vinyl products. The vinyl soffits install the same way that you would install any type of vinyl soffit. The panels lock together on one side and you nail the other side, starting on one end and working your way across the area.
Vinyl bead board soffit benefits include:

* They will never need scraping or painting.

* They can easily be washed with water and soap or a pressure washer.

* Won’t crack, split, decay or get eaten by insects which is a great quality here in Minnesota.

If you are planning on building a new Minnesota porch or remodeling an existing one, I would highly recommend you consider vinyl bead board soffit. Even if you have a home that has a different material for the rest of the siding, I would still recommend using vinyl bead board on the porch or other soffit underside because of the simplicity of use and the durability of the product. Not only will you be happy that you chose the product for your Minnesota house, but most of your friends and family won’t be able to tell the difference even if they are looking directly at it.
